Finished today the penultimate power supply of the 4-65a SE amplifier. This one is the A2 grid current one and doesn’t need a lot of filtering as the 46 driver gyrator will do most of that job. The DC stacked design of this amplifier will allow an independent loop of the A2 current between this supply and 4-65a grid-cathode.
Just only one more supply to go and I’m done!!!
You have raised breadboarding to a fine art, Ale. Congrats. -Edward
Thanks Edward for your comments. Given I don’t have too much free time for this, l have to optimise my building process. I hope it works fine. Only one supply to go and the long waiting and invested time should hopefully pay off!
Ale
I agree! Very nice looking breadboards, and they look relatively easy to work on. Could you perhaps post a blog entry about the little bits of hardware you use and where to get them?
I will when I get the time. Where are you based?
Ale
Great! I’m in Denmark.
Hi Ale,
I have searched for a complete schematic of this amp, but couldn’t find it. Did you post it somewhere? What I am looking for is how this supply (and the others) are hooked up. I would like to look into the independent grid current loop as you describe it.
Hi Bjorn,
You can get the main schematic in this great thread:

Lot’s of good information is there as well.
Cheers,
Ale
Thank you!
