SiC Bias PCBs

Overview

The PCB provides enough flexibility to provide a bias voltage of 6V which covers most of the pre-amps and driver requirements. You can of course stack the boards should you need a higher bias.  The SiC diodes are located on the side of the board should you want to bolt them to a heatsink. The TO-220 can do up to 2W individually so in most of the cases a heatsink isn’t needed.

The board can be used for normal cathode bias or for filament bias. Board connections are 2mm PCB solder plugs or a 2-terminal PCB block connector.  Jumpers are available for the first 5 diodes. You solder just the diodes needed or you can have a flexible board by using jumpers instead. Bias voltage can be adjusted on 0.85-1V steps depending on the SiC diode current.

PCB features

  1. 21.5 x 84.3 mm board
  2. high-quality 1.6mm thick FR4 board
  3. 2-side
  4. ENIG finish
  5. 2 oz. copper.

PCB only is provided without any components

I made a small PCB batch so I’m giving these away for a price to recover the development of the PCB. They will go on first come first serve basis with no reservation. If you want them please complete the form below. I will provide a Paypal invoice.
